Have any more questions? We’re here to answer all of them for you.
MindSpa, LLC is an outpatient psychiatric practice that treats patients within Florida with uncomplicated behavioral and substance use disorders. MindSpa, LLC treats adults over 18 for various psychiatric concerns and symptoms, including depression, anxiety, insomnia, PTSD, ADHD, and OCD. We primarily use telemedicine services, but a location is coming soon for those who prefer in-office appointments.
Receiving outpatient telemedicine care by MindSpa, LLC may not be appropriate for every patient. A basic pre-screen before initial consultation can ensure MindSpa has the expertise to treat you based on history and potential needs. Additionally, your provider will let you know if at any time they believe care at MindSpa is no longer optimal for your treatment.
Rights regarding healthcare information are outlined in the NOTICE OF PRIVACY PRACTICES, HIPPA DATA USE AGREEMENT found on this website under Privacy & Policy. The laws that protect the privacy and confidentiality of health and care information apply to all in-office and telemedicine visits. Information obtained during visits that identify you will not be given to anyone without your consent except for the purposes of treatment, education, billing, healthcare operations, and other reasons if required by law. In summary, The Notice of Privacy Practices describes how MindSpa, LLC may use and disclose protected health information and describes your rights to access and control it. “Protected health information” is information about patients, including demographic information, that may identify you and relate to your past, present, and future physical or mental health condition and related health care services. A healthcare professional will go over this information before your initial appointment.
Psychiatric crises, suicidal or homicidal thoughts, and severe life-threatening side effects require immediate medical attention, high-level support, and intervention, which MindSpa, LLC’s outpatient or telemedicine services may not be equipped for. During a crisis, times of severe symptoms, or if you have thoughts of hurting yourself or others, you should call 911, the crisis hotline number (305) 358-HELP (4357), or go to the nearest Emergency Room.
During your visit, you will be talking to a nurse practitioner or doctor who is qualified and experienced in treating psychiatric conditions. Your provider will gather information about your history and current symptoms and collaborate on a treatment plan to help you get better. They will then continue to follow up with you to assess the status of symptoms and the effects of medications frequently, typically every 1-12 weeks, based on the severity of the condition.
Most patients prefer to go through insurance for their initial and ongoing visits. The patient is responsible for insurance-specific copayments, deductibles, co-insurance fees, or rejections from insurance claims. Unfortunately, MindSpa has no control over insurance-specific costs, so it is recommended to contact your insurance company to verify requirements.
If you do not have insurance, we offer affordable out-of-pocket costs. Initial evaluations are $200, while follow-up visits are $150 per session. Compared to most psychiatric practices, these prices are reasonable, as we want to ensure you receive the care you need.
MindSpa does not currently accept Medicare or Medicaid.
We are working on expanding our networks with insurance companies to better assist more patients in need. Currently, we work with Aetna, Cigna, United, Oxford, and Oscar. We will be up and running with many more insurances soon.
As soon as you start to feel “off” or experience symptoms that affect your mental health, it’s good to get help and gain a professional support system. The sooner you receive care and resources, the less likely the symptoms will evolve into something more serious. Even if you are unsure if what you are experiencing requires help, it doesn’t hurt to find out.
Scheduling a visit is easy. You can either call the office or fill out the contact form on the Contact Us Section of this site so someone can reach out to you. We can set your appointment up at a time that works with your schedule and as soon as you are available.
Both Nurse Practitioners and Medical Doctors are experienced in assessing patients and prescribing medication. Both types of providers have extensive educational history and are licensed and certified to prescribe psychotropics safely.
After a thorough evaluation of symptoms and a diagnosis has been made, the provider may decide to prescribe you medication(s). The provider will go over the risks and benefits of the treatment options and collaborate with you to choose an appropriate option for care.
Before your visit, a staff member will confirm your pharmacy and enter it into the system. Then, when it is time for the provider to prescribe medications, they will send them electronically to your pharmacy for pick up.
The goal is to remain continuous with the same provider to build a healthy, therapeutic relationship that fosters healing. We try to match you with a provider that will best meet your needs so that you can work with them over time.
Suppose you or your provider believes there may be someone more appropriate. In that case, it is encouraged to let a staff member know so we can provide a suitable match based on your needs and preference while also considering provider expertise.
After you have scheduled your visit, a staff member will call you the day before your appointment to confirm and explain the process. They will walk you through setting up your portal and signing initial consents. Fifteen minutes before your scheduled visit, staff will call you to ensure you received the video link and that the video is working. They may ask you a few health questions to set up your new chart before the doctor joins the session. Once you are all set, the staff member will inform the doctor to join the visit, and they will take it from there!
It is recommended to call the office over 24 hours before your scheduled visit to avoid being charged a short-notice cancellation fee. If you need to reschedule, please reach out here: https://www.mindspatelemed.com/contact-us.
